Compliance Vision Statement

“It is the vision of Harris County Emergency Corps (HCEC) for all employees to perform his or her duties with the highest standards of ethical behavior through honesty, integrity, and commitment of compliance to all policies, laws and regulations governing our operations. These policies include the HCEC Code of Conduct and Ethics, Policies and Procedures, as well as all federal, state, and local laws including, but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid regulations.”


Keir Vernon is the HCEC Compliance Officer.  Keir is certified in healthcare compliance and specializes in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Guidelines and Medicare/Medicaid regulations. The Compliance Officer provides the tools and education necessary for the implementation of an effective compliance program.
